Privacy

What Fallaar keeps about you, why, who else sees it, and for how long. Last updated 1 October 2026.

What we collect

Your phone number
It is how you sign in. We send a 6-digit code to it on WhatsApp. There is no password.
Your name and district
Only if you add them in Account. They help the shop and the rider find you.
Where to deliver
The address, landmark, map pin or Plus Code you give for an order or a parcel, and the name and number of the person receiving it.
Your orders and payments
What you ordered, from which shop, the price and the EVC Plus payment reference. You approve each payment on your own phone; Fallaar never sees your EVC Plus PIN.
Messages
Chat between you, the shop and the rider about an order.
Proof of delivery
When a rider hands over a parcel, the app may take a photo at the door and record where the rider was at that moment.

The Fallaar customer app does not read your phone's location, contacts or photos.

Riders and staff

Fallaar Work, the staff app, records a rider's location only while he is carrying an order, so the customer can see the bike coming and the delivery can be proved. It does not track riders off duty or in the background. These location points are kept for 7 days.

Why we use it

  1. To take your order, deliver it and let you track it.
  2. To take payment by EVC Plus and keep a record of it.
  3. To help when something goes wrong, and to prevent fraud.
  4. To meet legal and accounting duties.

We do not sell your data and we do not show you advertising.

Who else sees it

The shop
Your order and the delivery details it needs.
Your rider
The name, number and address for the delivery he is carrying, while he is carrying it. Once the order is handed over, he can no longer see it or its messages, and nobody can add to its chat.
You, on a ride
While your ride is on, you see your driver's name and the vehicle, so you can check you are getting on the right one.
Service providers
WAAFI / Hormuud (EVC Plus payments), Meta (WhatsApp sign-in codes and messages), Google Firebase (notifications to riders), Cloudflare (storage of delivery photos) and Railway (the servers Fallaar runs on). They handle data only to provide their service to Fallaar.

How long we keep it

Your account
Until you delete it.
Delivery details, door notes, messages and photos
180 days after the delivery is completed or closed, then removed automatically. Deleting your account also clears the door notes on your orders straight away.
Rider location points
7 days.
Tracking links
24 hours after a delivery ends, a tracking link only says how it ended — no times, no map, no code.
Order and payment records
Kept for accounting and fraud prevention.

Your choices

  1. Delete your account in the app under Account, or on the web. If an order or ride is on the way, the app asks you to wait until it is finished.
  2. Change your name or district in Account at any time.
  3. Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or for a correction, by messaging us on WhatsApp. We confirm the request comes from your number first.

Keeping it safe

Sign-in codes expire after five minutes and are stored only in scrambled form. Connections to Fallaar are encrypted. Delivery photos are private and can be opened only by Fallaar support, for a few minutes at a time. Riders see only their own deliveries.

Fallaar is not meant for children under 16. If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app.
